Programs

Four programs. One system.

NSH does not run scattered initiatives. We run an integrated system rooted in the GEAR method, with four programs that meet the Deaf and hearing communities at the points where the bridge actually gets built.

The Architecture

Every program is a letter in the method.

The GEAR method is not just an internal framework. It is the architectural backbone of every program NSH builds. Each letter of GEAR maps to a program, and every program is designed so the four together produce a complete bridge.

Deaf Culture Awareness

Deaf culture is not a barrier. It is a legacy. NSH builds awareness through education, events, and stories that change how the hearing world sees Deaf identity.

Youth Empowerment

Deaf youth deserve the room, the microphone, and the resources. NSH builds programming that puts them at the center and the scaffolding that keeps them there.

Why Four

A bridge cannot be built with one beam.

Specialization tells small nonprofits to pick one thing. Run one program. Stay in one lane. NSH does not believe the bridge between Deaf and hearing communities can be built that way. The gap is too wide and the work is too connected.

Giving without education leaves people generous but uninformed. Education without awareness leaves people skilled but isolated. Awareness without resources leaves people inspired but unsupported. The four programs hold each other up. That is the system. That is why we run four.

Two Ways In

Bring the work to your community. Or invest in the work everywhere.

Whichever direction the bridge calls you toward, NSH meets you there. Both paths are real. Both move the work forward.

For Organizations and Groups

Bring NSH to your room.

Custom workshops, training engagements, and program partnerships designed around what your team, school, congregation, or community actually needs. Every engagement starts with a 15-minute discovery call.

For Individual Supporters

Fund all four at once.

Hands of Unity is the monthly giving family of NSH. One recurring gift supports every program in the system. The work that does not stop between events is the work your monthly gift makes possible.
